“Central Flooring are a long-time member of our supply chain.We’ve just finished another project with them. They stepped in after we’d been let down by another flooring contractor who hadn’t done a very good job for us. It was a high-performance engine room where the benches have to be perfectly set up, so the floor has to be flawless. We were almost at handover stage. So, we immediately went to Central Flooring because we were pretty sure they would help if they could. Sure enough, within 7-days they had sourced the materials and assembled the team. They are incredibly reliable – in fact, I’m standing on the resin floor they’ve just installed, and it looks like glass. It’s absolutely perfect. We should’ve approached Central in the first place.Resin flooring is a good product, the Central team are super-efficient, and they’re flexible – they will always move jobs around to accommodate us. They’re straightforward to deal with too – they give us a price, come in and do the job, there’s no nonsense or delays. If something goes wrong they are the first to put their hands up – if something is, or isn’t in the spec, they never argue.They’re just thoroughly good people to work with and a friendly lot who want to build relationships with main contractors. I worked with them in a previous role at Lend Lease – so I know what they can do. On price, they’re competitive. Resin flooring isn’t cheap. In my view though, if you want cheap, you pay twice. What I also really like about Central is that they don’t promise what they can’t deliver – this is a big-big problem for us in the industry.Central ‘does exactly what it says on the tin’ – that’s the phrase I’d use.”

“From start to finish, Central Flooring’s professionalism has been brilliant. They really listened to our project brief and then they delivered on it. We contracted them to paint demarcation lines, stencils, and barcode floor location labels and carry out some floor repairs.They’re reliable, and the quality of their floor installations is very good, which is why we keep going back to them. If there are any issues, they’re quick to resolve them. They are reasonably priced, and Ben, their Operations Director is always on hand to answer any questions.Central’s installation team is a credit to them. If they were unsure about anything, they asked – they didn’t chance it and we appreciated that. For example, during a weekend project, we wanted some numbering painting along the length of our warehouse floor, so they checked with us which way we wanted the numbering to appear – we were reassured by their communication and the fact that they wanted to get it 100% right.What we’ve found with Central, is that they’re good at finding solutions. To give you another example, we needed some external painting doing, which Central don’t do – but they offered us an alternative company – we like the fact that they’re responsive.Central Flooring are our go to contractor. “Central Flooring were recommended to us – they were working on another project at the time and that client put their name forward.Due to the industry we’re in, we were looking for static dissipative safety flooring, which is quite unique to the industry. It was for a cleanroom at PALL in Devon. What Central delivered for us was a ‘turnkey solution’ – so, once the installation was complete they tested everything to prove it worked. The advantage to us meant we didn’t have to source and bring in an external testing service provider.What sets Central apart from other flooring contractors is their communication which is brilliant. Richard and Ben are very easy to deal with. We’ve had zero issues and zero snagging. The team arrived when they said they would, and they haven’t let us down – that’s a biggy for us.They’re accommodating too. We’d booked the floor installation for a specific date but then wanted to move it by a week, which Central worked with us to achieve. When the team arrived on site, we still had equipment in the room they were working, so they stepped in and helped us to relocate it. They’re tidy workers and respectful of health and safety – both ours and theirs.We did get a comparable quote and Central are very competitive on price. As an organisation, they really are very good from the management team through to the installation team.This is our first project with Central, and we’d have no issue recommending them.”

“When we were given the go-ahead to invest in new floors, we did our homework by reviewing and selecting the product and manufacturer. Once we’d done that, the manufacturer recommended two installers – and we chose Central Flooring.To give you some insight into how responsive Central are, we chose resin flooring in our corporate emerald green. We were also looking for a particular installation date – so, there were certain specifics. At the time, there was a manufacturing delay in sourcing the green resin, so Central found another company who could mix the colour. In the end the manufacturer came through so there wasn’t the need for the alternative option. But this demonstrated how proactive and willing the team are in delivering what they promise.Their workmanship and customer service is excellent. They worked through some very testing technical issues with the product and came back to site three times. There are always problems in the real world – the Central team were focussed and supported us through to the end.UK-NSI have strict health and safety procedures and a clean room environment. Central’s own health and safety was also very good. They had all the relevant safety documentation, including COSHH, risk assessments and method statements.They also encouraged us to visit some of their clients who’d had similar floors installed, so we could see how hard-wearing they are – and to give us the opportunity to get first hand feedback – we valued that. The Central team do what they say they’re going to do. They’re very good resin floor installers and they’re competitive on price. We wouldn’t look to go anywhere else.”

“This is our first project with Central Flooring – they installed a resin flooring system in twelve of our care home apartments and two admin offices. We chose Central because they’re specialist contractors – so they know what they’re doing. They came in to see us, it was clear that they understood our brief and what we were looking to achieve and then they came back with a competitive quote which was within our budget.Ben Clarke, their operations director was fantastic to deal with. “HMP Wellingborough in Northants is our first ever resin flooring project with Central Flooring and they haven’t disappointed. For this particular job, they installed the Altro Screed Quartz system, which they’re specialists in.Central has been in the trade for 30-years, so they know what they’re doing. The quality of their workmanship is excellent – they’ve got everything down to a tee. We’ve found them to be open and honest – if, after giving it some thought they’re not comfortable with the spec of a floor, they’ll say so and explain why – and recommend something else.Their communication is excellent and they’re very proactive – they will come to me and say this is what we’re going to do, this is where we are with the project, or we need to have a conversation – I don’t ever have to chase them.They’re approachable and friendly. If we want to accelerate a project, they’ll move to accommodate us. And when their main project manager had to take some time off, Richard who is one of Central’s Directors, came on site to assist. We have a good relationship with the team and an open dialogue – how many contractors do you know who will pick up the phone and say, ‘we’re just checking in’.Re price, they’ve very competitive. In our experience some flooring contractors will look at where they can get variations – but with Central we don’t get that. What’s important to them is providing the best customer experience. On this project, they also arranged for the floor manufacturer to come in and do the anti-slip testing – again, this is something we haven’t had to concern ourselves with. They’ve just got on and sorted it.We’re looking forward to our next project with them, so long as their pricing remains competitive. It’s about knowing your client and with Central Flooring they understand what we want. I know that if we employ them again, there will be nothing to worry about.”

“What can I say, we’re delighted with the end result.We contracted Central Flooring to install resin flooring to the public hall and rear crematorium which they completed over the four-day Jubilee weekend. Choosing the colour and finish was down to me. What I really appreciated was the way Richard and Ben explained how the flooring systems work, the process and the finish each system would give. They transferred their knowledge to me brilliantly – and in a way that wasn’t at all patronising. Believe me, that meant a lot.Their communication across the board was excellent and their speed of response and aftercare very strong. From start to finish they impressed. The installation team arrived on time, they were pleasant and easy to have around and completed the project on time. They were a tidy lot – we wouldn’t have known they’d been here! The workmanship on that first project at Salford Royal Hospital was fantastic – and now they’re on our preferred list for resin contractors. But it’s more than that.
