At Central Flooring Services we apply custom markings and demarcations as a stand-alone project, or as part of a resin flooring installation. We refresh existing markings too – whether originally applied by ourselves or another contractor.

We’ve applied custom markings to automotive production plants, food preparation areas, airports, sports halls, transport delivery bays, numerous construction and manufacturing facilities, and government infrastructure.

Demarcations come in lines, numbering, lettering and symbols and provide function and decorative appeal to all sorts of settings. Choosing line marking depends on its purpose, from walkways to zebra crossings and safety markings.

Why demarcations on resin floors?

  • Safety – they help to clearly define safe pedestrian walkways, fire exits, parking bays and product storage areas where supplies have to be separated to prevent cross contamination. Traffic and hazard zones can also be marked out to improve safety by reducing the risk of accidents or collisions.
  • Aesthetics – resin floors with custom markings can really improve the overall appearance of your space by adding colour, lines, stencils, logos and lettering. Demarcations can easily be tailored to match the colour of your company branding.
  • Organisation – functional demarcations are used to mark storage areas, parking spaces, or specific work zones, improving productivity and workflow. Numbering aisles in large warehouses or distribution bays makes it much easier to locate and access products, reducing time spent searching for items.
  • Clarity – they’re a visual means of communicating clear instructions, warnings and information to guide employees and visitors where they should or shouldn’t go. Common colours are yellow, white, red, blue, green, black and orange.
  • Compliance – floor signs are necessary in many settings and help you to meet occupational health and safety regulations, and industry regulations by clearly marking critical zones and areas. Non-compliance can result in fines and legal issues. Resin floor demarcation is much better than marking tape which can lift off, and paint which can chip and fade.
  • Maintenance – epoxy and polyurethane resin floor markings are hard-wearing. Regular cleaning will help to keep them visible which is essential from a safety perspective – but also because it helps to enhance the company brand.
